INDICATIONS AND USAGE

NEURONTIN® is indicated for:

• Management of postherpetic neuralgia in adults
• Adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial onset seizures, with and without secondary generalization, in adults and pediatric patients 3 years and older with epilepsy

2 DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

2.1 Dosage for Postherpetic Neuralgia

In adults with postherpetic neuralgia, NEURONTIN may be initiated on Day 1 as a single 300 mg dose, on Day 2 as 600 mg/day (300 mg two times a day), and on Day 3 as 900 mg/day (300 mg three times a day). The dose can subsequently be titrated up as needed for pain relief to a dose of 1800 mg/day (600 mg three times a day). In clinical studies, efficacy was demonstrated over a range of doses from 1800 mg/day to 3600 mg/day with comparable effects across the dose range; however, in these clinical studies, the additional benefit of using doses greater than 1800 mg/day was not demonstrated.

Amoxil (amoxicillin trihydrate) antibiotic medicine

Proper Use

Take this medicine only as directed by your doctor. Do not take more of it, do not take it more often, and do not take it for a longer time than your doctor ordered.
You may take this medicine with or without food.
For patients using the oral liquid:

• Shake the bottle well before each use. Measure the dose with a marked measuring spoon, oral syringe, or medicine cup. The average household teaspoon may not hold the right amount of liquid.
• You may mix the oral liquid with a baby formula, milk, fruit juice, water, ginger ale, or another cold drink. Be sure the child drinks all of the mixture immediately.

Keep using this medicine for the full treatment time, even if you feel better after the first few doses. Your infection may not clear up if you stop using the medicine too soon.

Deltasone Overview

Deltasone is a prescription medication used to treat many conditions including:

• low corticosteroid levels (adrenal insufficiency)
• certain types of arthritis

• lupus and other collagen diseases
• other diseases affecting the lungs, skin, eyes, kidneys, blood, thyroid, stomach, and intestines

Cafergot Ergotamine tartrate + Caffeine Tablets

Migraine and headache:

Indications for Ergotamine tartrate + Caffeine Tablets Cafergot

Migraine, migraine variants, cluster headaches.

Adult:

2 tablets at onset of attack, then 1 tablet every ½ hour if needed; max 6 tabs/attack, 10 tabs/week.

Children:

Not recommended.

Sibelium 5 mg tablets Flunarizine dihydrochloride migraine

USES: This medication is used to prevent migraine headaches. It is effective in reducing the frequency of migraine attacks and to a lesser extent, the severity.

HOW TO USE: Take this medication by mouth exactly as prescribed, usually once a day in the evening. It may take 6 to 8 weeks of continued treatment before the maximum effect of this medication is noted.

SIDE EFFECTS: Drowsiness, weight gain, nausea, heartburn, dry mouth or anxiety may occur as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: a skin rash, depression, muscle aches, tremor, difficulty moving, abnormal or uncontrolled movements (especially of the face or mouth). If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Vasoserc Betahistine Hydrochloride tablets

Betahistine (Serc) is a popular medicine that is prescribed to treat a variety of complaints. The main indication for taking Betahistine is to treat patients with Ménière’s disease, however many patients take Betahistine to relieve other symptoms, such as vertigo, dizziness, and tinnitus.
Good evidence to support the use of Betahistine for the treatment of Ménière’s disease is severely lacking despite its common use. About five years ago a scientific study was performed in China to evaluate the potential benefits of Betahistine for tinnitus patients. The results of this study demonstrated a reduction in the loudness of tinnitus when using special hearing tests to assess tinnitus loudness, but when questionnaires were used to assess whether the subjects felt that their tinnitus was quieter, or whether the impact of tinnitus on their life was reduced, no improvements could be satisfactorily demonstrated. The results of this study, to some degree, are interesting, however this type of study has not been replicated in either China, or anywhere else in the rest of the world. Only a summary of this study has been reproduced in English, so I have written to the authors for clarification of the methods used and some more details regarding the study findings, but unfortunately I am still waiting for a reply.

Usage

For the relief and treatment of anal fissure as diagnosed by your doctor.

Active Ingredient

Glyceryl Trinitrate (also known as Nitroglycerin, GTN) 0.2%w/w.

Dosage

Apply ointment as directed three times daily, or more frequently on the advice of your medical practitioner. Close the tube tightly, immediately after each use. Consult your doctor if symptoms persist.

Warning

Overuse may result in headaches. Do not use more than directed.

Daflon 500 Dosage

The Daflon 500 must be taken in the prescribed pattern as advised by the physician. It is recommended to swallow with water and must not be crushed or broken into pieces.

• The medication may be consumed with food or without food by fixing a definite time and time interval for each dose is specifically advised.
• If you have skipped the prescription, then the dosage must not be doubled on the next dosing time. You must leave that medication and continue as per the usually prescribed schedule.

Indications
Local treatment of bruises, sprains, muscle pain, muscle strain, stiff neck.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity 'to the active substance or to any of the excipients. For a chance 'of cross-sensitization, the product should not be administered to patients in whom l ' acetylsalicylic acid or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs have caused asthma, rhinitis, urticaria or other allergic manifestations. Pregnancy. Breastfeeding. Children and teenagers younger 'at least 14 years.

Dosage
2-4 applications per day on the painful area. Elderly patients should follow the minimum dosage mentioned above. Apply a thin layer of gel on the area to be treated with a gentle massage. Use the medicine for more 'shortest period possible. Wash thoroughly and for lengthy periods hands after 'application.

Warnings
It 'should be avoided l ' application in correspondence with open wounds or skin lesions. L 'use and ' not recommended in women planning pregnancy. The administration should be discontinued in women who have fertility problems 'or who are undergoing investigation of fertility '. L 'use, especially if prolonged, can ' give rise to local sensitization: the first appearance of skin rash, mucosal lesions or any other sign of hypersensitivity 'stop treatment and take appropriate therapeutic measures.
