Perindopril Erbumine tablets

Uses

Perindopril is used to treat high blood pressure. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. This medication is also used to prevent heart attacks in people with a certain type of heart disease (stable coronary artery disease). Perindopril belongs to a class of drugs known as ACE inhibitors. It works by relaxing blood vessels so blood can flow more easily.

How to use Perindopril Erbumine

Read the Patient Information Leaflet if available from your pharmacist before you start taking perindopril and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually once or twice daily. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
To reduce your risk of side effects, your doctor may direct you to start this medication at a low dose and gradually increase your dose. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.
Take this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same time(s) each day. Keep taking this medication even if you feel well. Most people with high blood pressure do not feel sick.

Rosuvastatin ( Crestor ) Tablets

Uses

Rosuvastatin is used along with a proper diet to help lower "bad" cholesterol and fats (such as LDL, triglycerides) and raise "good" cholesterol (HDL) in the blood. It belongs to a group of drugs known as "statins." It works by reducing the amount of cholesterol made by the liver. Lowering "bad" cholesterol and triglycerides and raising "good" cholesterol decreases the risk of heart disease and helps to prevent strokes and heart attacks.
In addition to eating a proper diet (such as a low cholesterol/low-fat diet), other lifestyle changes that may help this medication work better include exercising, losing weight if overweight, and stopping smoking. Talk with your doctor for more details.

How to use Rosuvastatin

Read the Patient Information Leaflet if available from your pharmacist before you start taking rosuvastatin and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once daily.
The dosage is based on your medical condition, response to treatment, age, race, and other medications you may be taking. Be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist about all the products you use (including prescription drugs, nonprescription drugs, and herbal products). If you are of Asian descent, your doctor may direct you to start with a lower dose because you may be more sensitive to its effects.
Antacids containing aluminum or magnesium can reduce the absorption of this drug. Therefore, if taking this type of antacid, take it at least 2 hours after this medication.
Take this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. Remember to take it at the same time each day. It is important to continue taking this medication even if you feel well. Most people with high cholesterol or triglycerides do not feel sick.
It is very important to continue to follow your doctor's advice about diet and exercise. It may take up to 4 weeks before you get the full benefit of this drug.

Xarelto (Rivaroxaban) tablets

Xarelto is a blood thinner used to prevent the formation of blood clots. It is prescribed for patients with atrial fibrillation, a heart rhythm irregularity, and for patients who are undergoing certain types of joint replacement surgery who are at risk of developing deep vein thrombosis, a condition that may lead to blood clots in the lungs and other parts of the circulatory system.
Xarelto was introduced on the market in 2011, making it relatively new. The manufacturer, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, promoted it as an alternative to Warfarin, requiring no monitoring.
However, patients absorb the drug at different rates. Some patients who have taken Xarelto experienced uncontrolled bleeding, which may lead to serious injury or death. Unlike Wayfarin, however, Xarelto has no antidote if a patient experiences internal bleeding. The blood thinner must pass out of the system gradually, meaning it could be too late for the victim. There have been numerous reports of uncontrolled bleeding, causing serious side effects including death, according to the Institute for Safe Medication Practices.

Recognizing Xarelto Side Effects

In some cases, drugs are released on the market that have not been tested adequately, and side effects from long term usage do not become evident until years later. After release upon the market, some medications are then discovered to have harmful, or even fatal side effects.
Serious Xarelto side effects may require emergency treatment, particularly when any unusual bleeding develops. Some minor side effects can include muscle pain, itching, and pain in the arms and legs. Any significant changes are to be reported to your doctor. Serious side effects are the major concern with this medication. They include:

Aindeem Finasteride tablets

What are the key benefits of Aindeem?

Clinical studies over 5 years used photographic assessment of efficacy. This demonstrated that 48% of men treated with finasteride for 5 years were rated as improved, and an additional 42% were rated as unchanged. This is in comparison to 25% of men treated with placebo for 5 years who were rated as improved or unchanged. These data demonstrate that treatment with finasteride for 5 years resulted in a stabilisation of hair loss.

How does Aindeem work?

Aindeem contains active ingredient finasteride, a type of anti-androgen medicine which supresses the cause of male hair loss by stopping the development of Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the body. DHT attacks the hair follicles on top of the head, thus causing hair loss –Aindeem works to prevent this process.

Zetia (Ezetimibe ) 10mg tablets Vytorin

Uses

Ezetimibe is used along with a low cholesterol/low fat diet and exercise to help lower cholesterol in the blood. Ezetimibe may be used alone or with other drugs (such as "statins" or fibrates). Ezetimibe works by reducing the amount of cholesterol your body absorbs from your diet. Reducing cholesterol may help prevent strokes and heart attacks.

How to use Zetia

Read the Patient Information Leaflet if available from your pharmacist before you start taking ezetimibe and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually once daily with or without food.
The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
If taking a bile acid sequestrant (such as cholestyramine, colestipol), take ezetimibe at least 2 hours before or 4 hours after taking the bile acid sequestrant. These products may bind to ezetimibe, preventing your body from fully absorbing the drug.
Take this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same time each day.
It is important to continue taking this medication even if you feel well. Most people with high cholesterol do not feel sick. It may take up to 2 weeks before you get the full benefit of this drug.

Singulair (montelukast sodium) dose indications

Singulair (Montelukast)

Singulair is the brand name of montelukast, a drug prescribed for people with asthma.
Singulair helps prevent the wheezing and shortness of breath caused by asthma attacks.
Singulair can also help decrease the frequency of asthma attacks, and it may be used to relieve the symptoms of hay fever, allergic rhinitis, and other allergies that cause sneezing and stuffy, runny, or itchy nose.
You can also take it to prevent exercise-induced asthma.
Singulair works by blocking certain natural substances called leukotrienes that may cause or worsen asthma and allergies.
Leukotrienes — chemicals your body releases when you breathe in an allergen, such as pollen — cause swelling in your lungs and tightening of the muscles around your airways, which can result in asthma symptoms.
Singulair is made by Merck and was approved for use by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1998 for treatment of asthma-related symptoms.
The FDA has approved several generic versions of montelukast, but Singulair continues to be the most popular prescribed brand.
In 2008, the FDA announced that it would investigate whether mood changes and suicidal thoughts were possible side effects of leukotriene modulator drugs, including Singulair.
Clinical trials revealed only an increased risk of insomnia, but surveys showed that the drugs are also associated with a possible increase in suicidal behavior, agitation, aggression, irritability, hallucinations, and depression.
